This activity has offered foreign internet influencers an immersive exposure of Chinese intangible cultural heritage such as pottery, tie dyeing, and ink painting. Under the guidance of local artisans, internet influencers enjoyed producing these arts by themselves. It is reported that the local government has revitalized the idle land in the village through investment, cooperation, leasing, and other means to create various intangible cultural heritage projects called "creative workshops". Also, teachers have been hired to teach villagers the craft and guide them to sell products through online platforms, helping villagers start their own business and increase their incomes without leaving home, and enabling local enterprises to share the dividends of tourism development with villagers.

"There are more ways for residents to improve their living standards. They can do some handicrafts or things they are good at, produce some products, and sell them through local platforms. I think this is a very good project," said Celia, a social media influencer from Guatemala.
