To inherit and promote traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture and meet people's needs for health care and TCM treatment, the health commission of Hailing District, Taizhou City, recently launched a month-long event themed TCM health service and relevant technology training. "TCM Night Market", which impressed the public a lot, stood out among all the activities during the event, creating a social atmosphere of learning TCM, understanding TCM, loving TCM, and applying TCM.

From June 19 to 25, the health commission of Hailing District, in collaboration with Taizhou Cultural Tourism Group, Taizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taizhou Fourth People's Hospital, and public medical institutions based in this area, launched "TCM Night Market" to provide free medical services for citizens at the North Square of Taizhou Old Street. Medical services including TCM diagnosis, Chinese herbal tea drinks, soft tissue orthopedics, acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, cupping therapy and plaster application were available to people in need.

Teachers from Hanlin College of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese Kungfu Association of Hailing District were invited to the night market to promote Ba Duan Jin and Tai Chi, allowing citizens to enjoy the charm of TCM-featured exercise through learning.

The event, which will run until July 11, comprises free consultation, follow-up visits patients, TCM-related knowledge promotion, and volunteer services. To date, 17 volunteer clinics have been established in the entire region, with a total of over 160 volunteers, including 35 experts from municipal hospitals, 21 doctors from county-level hospitals, 93 medical personnel from rural areas, and more than 10 private medical institutions. They have conducted a total of 42 lectures, free clinics, and skill training sessions, serving over 5000 people.
