East Asia Marine Expo 2023 Kicks Off in Qingdao West Coast New Area

On the morning of June 28, the East Asia Marine Expo 2023 officially began at the Qingdao Cosmopolitan International Exhibition Center, in Qingdao's West Coast New Area.

As a significant component of the Qingdao Forum, the East Asia Marine Expo 2023 covered an area spanning 60,000 square meters, featuring six exhibition areas focusing on ports and shipping, marine engineering equipment, smart oceans, marine tourism, the emergency and rescue sector, and products from marine countries. Alongside the expo, more than 20 supporting events also took place.

One notable aspect of this year's expo was its high level of specificity. Over 10,000 different products were showcased, and representative offices of over 30 foreign countries in China were invited to the expo. These countries included members of ASEAN Plus Three Cooperation, as well as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) countries along the Belt and Road. Furthermore, more than 20,000 professional buyers from both domestic and international markets were invited. The expo's wealth of supporting events included negotiation meetings for marine-related enterprises, trading partner matching sessions, and pitch meetings highlighting new products, technologies and opportunities in marine tourism. (By Jiang Feng)
