Fever of New Energy Vehicles Expands Across Hefei

From September 29 to October 4, the 2023 Hefei International New Energy Vehicle Exhibition is held at Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Hefei and attracted a total of 95 new energy vehicle brands to participate, covering mainstream domestic brand companies whose new energy vehicles are in sales, with over 1000 participating vehicles.

The exhibition encompasses the main venue at Binhu Convention and Exhibition Center and several parallel sessions in various counties and districts in Anhui. At the exhibition venues, multiple first-tier automobile brands in China made their debut with new cars, other new products, and new technologies, presenting the latest achievements of "new energy", "intelligent driving" as well as "intelligent cockpit". Multiple "Made in Anhui" domestic independent automobile brands such as JAC, NIO, BYD and Chang'an made their appearances.

The statistics show that Hefei has gathered more than 500 new energy vehicle-related enterprises, including 273 industrial enterprises above the state-designated size, 25 enterprises each generating a revenue of over CNY 100 million, and six complete vehicle enterprises. It is also learned that in the first three quarters of 2023, the production volume of new energy vehicles in Hefei exceeded 500,000, representing a year-on-year increase of nearly four times and ranking among the top five cities producing such vehicles in China. According to relevant plans, by 2027, Hefei will strive to build two new energy vehicle enterprises and brands with international competitiveness. The revenue of the automobile cluster will reach CNY 700 billion, and Hefei will be built into a moderately first-class new energy vehicle city around the world.
