In the first meeting with Mario Cavolo, he spoke fluently the dialect of Northeast China, dressed in blue jeans paired with a yellow suit. He looked vigorous and energetic, which sets him apart from the typical image of a writer, often staying at home for writing.

He remarked that Shenyang is now becoming more and more international, as evidence by its alignment with international standards in the field of music, and a surge in the presence of foreign-invested enterprises in Shenyang in terms of economic development.
