Recently, the 2024 China Auto Software Conference (CASC) was held in Jiading, Shanghai. With the theme of "Leading the Future, with Software Intelligence, Creating an Ecosystem with Integration," this conference was jointly hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Anting · Shanghai International Automobile City. The 2024 CASC had one main forum and six thematic forums, with multiple industry applications and projects being signed and announced during the conference. Over 600 industry experts from various fields, such as complete vehicle manufacturing, software supporting, and application scenario development across the country, gathered to exchange ideas on topics including innovative development of automotive software, sharing of software innovation achievements, and intelligent scenario applications.

In the new development stage of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV), innovative technologies such as AI, open source, and data integration will become new directions for auto software. Under the platform of the Auto Software Conference, research and development enterprises in various industry segments are also accelerating the independent R&D innovation of automotive basic software and sharing practical achievements, thus helping the auto industry accelerate its progress towards intelligence. He Jifeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, also stated in his keynote speech on "AI Technology for Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration" that the development of AI technology for System of Coordinated Control by Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration (SCCVRCI) has become a new trend for future intelligent driving.

During the conference, the "Auto + AI" Intelligent Domain Coordinated Innovation Ecosystem Platform was officially released. The platform will carry out relevant cooperation in areas such as joint technology development and research, data sharing and analysis, product optimization and promotion, talent training and exchange, and standard formulation and compliance. It is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of the auto industry, facilitating the integration of AI technology and automobiles, and enhancing the core competitiveness of China's auto industry.

In addition, the conference also released the White Paper on AIGC Technology Applications in the Auto Industry. The paper, through the elaboration of the concept of Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) in Auto industry, analysis of key technologies, application demonstrations, and trend judgments, will continuously stimulate cognitive upgrades and application promotions in the auto industry, playing an important role in supporting the intelligent transformation of the auto industry. During the conference, iSOFT Infrastructure Software and the Openatom Foundation signed a donation agreement for the open-source microkernel of the In-vehicle Infotainment Operating System. Shanghai Intelligent Automobile Software Park and Synkrotron jointly signed an agreement on "Co-Construction of an Open-Source Simulation Engine Ecosystem for Autonomous Driving."
In the field of data security, the conference also launched the project of "Trusted Data Space Construction in the Auto Industry," released an automotive privacy protection logo, and issued the first batch of automotive privacy protection certificates to multiple automakers. Meanwhile, 15 enterprises, including Automotive Intelligence and Control of China (AICC), Li Auto, SGMW, and Huawei Terminal, were awarded the 2024 China Auto Software Excellent Innovation Cases in four innovation fields: intelligent driving, intelligent cockpits, basic software, and ecological contributions.
