State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company Takes Initiative to Visit and Provide Safe Electricity Usage Services During School Opening Season

Recently, taking advantage of the gap before the start of the school year, staff from the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company went deep into various primary and secondary schools in Yanling County, Xuchang City, Henan Province to carry out extended services. They conducted comprehensive physical examinations of the school's electrical facilities according to the time nodes, fully escorting the start of the school season.

Due to the fact that most of the school's electricity facilities are idle and unloaded during the summer vacation, coupled with high temperature, rainstorm and other weather effects, there may be hidden dangers for safe electricity use. The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company focuses on inspecting and measuring the temperature of the school's distribution room, transformers, and power supply lines. It also conducts hidden danger investigation and elimination of electrical circuits, leakage protectors, and switch sockets in teaching buildings, dormitories, canteens, and office buildings to ensure that all electrical equipment is in the best working condition at the beginning of the school year. At the same time, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company also inquired with school officials about the electricity demand for the new semester, solicited opinions and suggestions, and distributed safety electricity promotion materials, explaining electricity safety knowledge and precautions, further enhancing the awareness of teachers and students on safe and energy-saving electricity use.

As of now, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has completed on-site visits and electrical safety inspections of 42 schools in Yanling County, and identified and eliminated 28 safety hazards. Next, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company will increase the intensity of school electricity safety inspections, do a good job in identifying and managing electricity hazards, and effectively improve the quality of electricity use.
