Recently, the Yangtze River Delta's first cultural couplet creation practice base was established in Taizhou and officially launched at the under-construction Chinese Bonsai Museum.

As the birthplace of the "Yang School" of bonsai, Taizhou began the construction of the Chinese Bonsai Museum in 2024. A key feature of the museum is a corridor stretching over 300 meters, themed "A Thousand Years in One Corridor," which will use artistic expressions such as calligraphy, murals, and couplets to narrate the history and culture of bonsai, creating a poetic and picturesque ambiance.

To enrich the museum with literary and artistic elements, Taizhou launched a nationwide call for couplets and plaque inscriptions, inviting submissions from various sectors of society. As of September 6, the museum had received over 6,000 entries from more than 450 authors across 20 provinces and cities.

On the day of the inauguration, couplet organizations from Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen cultural exchange and the development of couplet culture. Experts and scholars also delivered speeches, sharing their thoughts on further promoting couplet culture.
