In October, Maoping village in Tonglu County, Hangzhou City experiences refreshing autumn weather and a surge in tourists. The village's quaint traditional houses, set against a backdrop of colorful autumn scenery and flowing streams, create a vibrant and scenic landscape attracts tourists from across the country.

At the Tea Café of Wenchang Pavilion in Tonglu, small groups of tourists relax under the fragrant osmanthus trees, enjoying coffee, tea, and the peaceful holiday atmosphere. According to the cafe staff, the National Day holiday has brought a noticeable increase in visitors, resulting in a significant boost in business.
Shao Lianping, a member of the village party committee, shared that the village now has 69 homestays, all of which were fully booked from October 2 to 5. During the holiday, the village launched a "Village Folk and Customs Market," showcasing Maoping's unique intangible cultural heritage and traditional snacks. "Through this market, we hope to welcome more visitors to experience, understand, and appreciate the charm of Maoping," Shao said.

Ms. Ju, a visitor from Jiaxing, and her daughter had the opportunity to try making traditional lacquer fans. "This is my second visit here," she shared. "I came alone the first time and stayed for a few days. I was deeply impressed by the beautiful scenery and the tranquil, slow-paced lifestyle here, which is why I decided to return with my family."

In addition to its natural beauty, Maoping village regularly hosts Yue Opera performances, adding to its charming and traditional appeal. "Maoping is a village rich in ancient charm," said Shao Lianping. "Visitors can relax at the Hu Family Ancestral Hall, where they can enjoy the unique appeal of Yue Opera and the tranquility of village life."
