The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company thoroughly conducts fire safety inspections

　　To solidify the foundation of safe production and provide robust support for the stable operation of the power grid, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company recently organized substation operation and maintenance personnel to conduct fire safety inspections at various substations in Yuzhou City, Xuchang City, Henan Province. This initiative aimed to promptly eliminate potential fire hazards and comprehensively enhance employees’ awareness of fire prevention safety, their sense of responsibility towards firefighting, and their emergency response capabilities.

　　The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company integrates routine fire safety operations with safety production tasks, conducting joint planning, inspection, evaluation and assessment. Adhering to the principles of prevention-first and prioritizing life, the Company ensures that fire safety measures are thoroughly considered, inspected and implemented.

　　During the inspection, staff meticulously examined all indoor firefighting equipment in the duty room and main control room. They checked whether the pressure and weight of fire extinguishers were within acceptable limits, whether they were stored in designated areas, whether certificates of compliance were complete, and whether the configuration of fire hydrants, fire buckets, and fire shovels met the requirements of fire safety regulations for electrical equipment. Moreover, they verified the normal operation of automatic fire alarm systems. Any issues identified during the inspection were promptly photographed, recorded and addressed. Additionally, staff conducted on-site operational assessments of substation safety officers, thoroughly examining their knowledge of fire prevention responsibilities and proficiency in operating firefighting equipment to ensure a safe and stable operating environment for the equipment within the station.
