Recently, a delegation of 30 students and teachers from Wakayama City, Japan, visited Jinan.

During their visit, the delegation visited Dongchengyijia Middle School, Jinan Innovation Zone, where they deeply experienced the school's special courses in traditional Chinese painting, STEM, aerobics, and Tai Chi. They also participated in activities such as a friendly soccer match and cultural performances, engaging in in-depth exchanges with local students and teachers. The delegation also toured Jinan's high-tech enterprises and explored its cultural landmarks, including Daming Lake and the Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block.
This visit allowed the students and teachers to not only forge valuable friendships but also gain a comprehensive understanding of Jinan's vibrant development and rich historical and cultural environment. The students expressed that upon returning to Japan, they would share their experiences with more Japanese friends and contribute to the friendly exchanges between China and Japan.
Wakayama City is Jinan's first international sister city. Since the establishment of sister city relations in 1983, the two cities have conducted extensive exchanges and practical cooperation in culture, education, and sports.
This visit by the delegation from Wakayama City aims to promote friendly exchanges between the youth of the two cities, encouraging more Japanese friends to get to know Jinan, fall in love with Jinan, and promote Jinan, thereby writing a new chapter in the cooperation between two sisiter cities.
