“Guangxi’s March 3rd Festival”Returns to Hong Kong and Macao for Fourth Year, Boosting Regional Exchanges

From April 13th to 17th, 2025, the “Guangxi March 3rd Festival” series of activities were held successively in the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

This event featured a wide range of activities including cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, tourism promotion, and economic exchange. Key programs included: the 7th Guangxi-Macao "Belt and Road" Cooperation Symposium, the inauguration ceremony of the Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine and University of Macao Joint Laboratory for Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, campus activities in Macao under the “Guangxi March 3rd Festival” theme, the Macao launch ceremony for the 2025 “Guangxi March 3rd Festival” series in Hong Kong and Macao, flash mob events in Hong Kong communities, the Hong Kong launch ceremony of the series, and an exchange activity for 100 Hong Kong youth students visiting Guangxi.

It is reported that since the event was first launched in 2022, the “Guangxi March 3rd Festival” in Hong Kong and Macao has been held for four consecutive years. With increasingly diversified content and fruitful outcomes each year, it has become a key platform for showcasing Guangxi’s unique ethnic customs and rich cultural heritage to compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao. The event has further promoted exchanges and integration between Guangxi, Hong Kong, and Macao, enhanced mutual understanding, strengthened comprehensive cooperation, and fostered mutual benefit and shared development.
