Glossy Ibises, the "Rainbow of Wetlands", Appear at Poyang Lake in Yongxiu

In early summer, the glossy ibis, hailed as the "Rainbow of Wetlands", has returned to Yongxiu after a year. They flit and dance gracefully, building nests and settling down, forming a captivating ecological scene.

In April 2025, seven glossy ibises were first spotted in Sanjiao Township of Yongxiu. A year later, they came back as promised, with their number rising from seven to more than thirty. Their story of making a home here tells a beautiful tale of harmony between humanity and nature.
