On August 14, diplomats accredited to China from more than ten countries, including Samoa, Colombia, and Fiji, gathered at the Shaanxi Intelligent Transportation Industry Pilot Test Base to explore up close the "last mile" of China's transportation technology innovation from laboratory to practical application. Their firsthand examination opens an important observation window for the international community to witness China's cutting-edge innovations in transportation.

This base is the center of Shaanxi's intelligent transportation innovation ecosystem. In the production workshop, the sensor production lines hum with ceaseless activity. These "neural terminals" support the life-cycle roadway safety monitoring systems. The base has built a complete innovation chain from core component R&D to system integration. Shao Yongjun, Chairman of Shaanxi Expressway Testing & Measuring Co., Ltd., introduced that the group has established an air-space-ground integrated monitoring network, highlighting the wide application of technologies such as drone-based inspection and disaster early warning. Through a dual-track model combining in-house incubation with open collaboration, the base has established a closed loop of "technology R&D—pilot verification—product optimization". Additionally, it leverages its incubation accelerator to promote synergistic growth across industrial clusters.

The diplomats visited the production line and testing area of the Pilot Test Base, Qin Chuang Yuan STHG (Shaanxi Transportation Holding Group) Technology Exhibition Hall, and its Smart Transportation Digital Service Center. They showed keen interest in technological achievements such as the high-precision GNSS receiver, air-ground integrated intelligent inspection system, and satellite unmanned monitoring vessel, speaking highly of their innovation value and application prospects.

This base is the core engine of STHG's "innovation-driven" strategy. It has incubated nearly a hundred key technologies that support the operation of China's transportation network and also extended its infrastructure solutions to multiple countries under the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, the Pilot Test Base will promote the replacement of core technologies with domestic alternatives, improve the accuracy of monitoring and early warning, and contribute China's solutions to the intelligent development of global transportation.
