On March 1, the 2025 Yangtze River Delta Equestrian League (Tonglu) kicked off at the Hangzhou Equestrian Center. This marks the first equestrian event held in Tonglu for 2025 and the largest equestrian competition at the venue since its establishment, with over 700 horse-rider combinations across the Yangtze River Delta region and nationwide, exceeding 380 horses in total.
This is a show jumping competition where riders must work in harmony with their horses to clear obstacles within a set route and time. The event features tracks of varying heights, including 80cm, 1.10m, and 1.30m, with the highest jump reaching 1.4m. The 1.4m level, the most challenging of the event, tests not only the riders' control skills but also the horses' power and precision to the fullest.
At the event's site, riders demonstrated the charm of equestrianism through their exceptional skills and perfect partnership with their horses. Meanwhile, the Tonglehui Lifestyle Market in the stands infused the event with a vibrant, lively atmosphere. Visitors marveled at the displays of intangible cultural heritage crafts such as Tonglu bamboo weaving and paper cutting. The newly introduced stylish food trucks also added a fresh highlight to the event's offerings.
