On March 26, the launch ceremony of the 2025 "Spring Tour in Tonglu: Just in Time" Yangtze River Delta Self-Drive Tour Conference was officially held in artistic Meirong Village.
Continuing the theme of "Spring Tour in Tonglu: Just in Time" as a spring tourism brand, this event featuring self-drive tour launched a series of activities, including the conference's launch ceremony, a spring food experience themed "Tonglu Taste," a scenic "Artistic Meirong" Countrywalk, and a self-drive tour matchmaking session. These activities offer visitors from across the Yangtze River Delta a vibrant springtime road trip experience in Tonglu.
The conference has attracted more than 150 vehicles from self-drive tour organizations and travelers across the Yangtze River Delta. Starting March 29, participants will embark on a self-drive adventure, exploring seven themed experiences with various activities. They will enjoy springtime horseback riding at an equestrian park, participate in pre-Qingming tea picking in local plantations, and experience the slow-paced lifestyle in boutique B&Bs. Additionally, aerial photography and other creative formats will capture the beauty of Tonglu in spring in different angles. A short video competition has also been launched, encouraging travelers to capture and share Tonglu's stunning landscapes, delicious food, and unique stories.
At the event, Tonglu unveiled new high-quality development policies for its cultural, tourism, and sports industries. These policies focus on boosting cultural tourism consumption, promoting brand recognition through sports events, fostering intangible cultural heritage and creative industries, and stimulating growth in B&B sector. By leveraging high-quality development of cultural, tourism, and sports industries, Tonglu seeks to spark a new wave of consumer enthusiasm, event-driven economic growth, cultural heritage innovation, and B&B industry expansion.
On the same day, representatives from the Yangtze River Delta self-drive tour association, clubs, travel influencers, tourism enterprises, and industry experts gathered for a matchmaking event. They engaged in in-depth discussions on the diverse tourism resources of Tonglu and the expansion of the self-drive tour market, creating new opportunities for cooperation in the tourism sector.
Prior to the event, Tonglu Release (Tonglu's official account), together with the tourism platform Tonglu Cultural Tourism, launched "Spring Tour in Tonglu: Just in Time" self-drive route collection campaign. Through a blend of online and offline efforts, over 30 distinctive routes were gathered. On the day of the event, ten curated thematic routes were officially released, integrating Tonglu's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and spring charm to create an immersive experience that caters to all travelers and settings.
