With the increasing popularity of new energy vehicles, the stable operation of charging piles has become increasingly crucial for ensuring the green travel of residents. On April 11, the State Grid Sheqi County Power Supply Company proactively organized professional technicians and staff from the discipline inspection commission to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the charging piles across the county, to ensure safe and convenient green travel for vehicle owners.
The inspection covered key areas including public charging piles in Sheqi County's urban zones, major townships, residential communities, and expressway service areas. The inspection team, adhering to a professional and responsible approach, conducted meticulous checks on the charging equipment's exterior, internal wiring connections, charging modules, grounding systems, and other critical components.
At the charging pile site in the parking lot of Wandro Time Plaza, a large shopping mall in the urban area, inspector Zhang Lei skillfully opened the protective casing of a charging pile to examine whether internal wiring showed signs of aging or loosening. He explained, "We not only inspect the hardware of the charging piles but also monitor real-time operational data through backend systems to ensure each unit can charge vehicles stably and safely".
In view of the significant temperature changes in the recent period, which may affect the performance of the charging pile equipment, the inspectors focused on checking and maintaining the cooling systems of the charging piles. They promptly cleaned the dust on the cooling fans and filters to ensure that the equipment can dissipate heat normally in high-temperature environments and avoid malfunctions caused by overheating. At the same time, they also carried out meticulous inspections and necessary replacements of some charging gun heads that are used more frequently and are prone to wear and tear to ensure the stability and reliability of the charging connections. In order to improve the inspection efficiency and quality, the company also made full use of intelligent inspection technology. Through the remote monitoring platform, it tracked the operational status of charging piles in real-time, enabling rapid identification and pinpointing of potential issues, followed by prompt dispatch of personnel for on-site resolution. During this inspection process, a total of 5 potential hazards were detected and addressed across various categories, effectively ensuring the reliable operation of the charging piles.
Moving forward, the company will continue to intensify inspection efforts and maintenance frequency for charging piles while optimizing service measures.
