“With strong winds forecasted in the coming days, everyone must conduct regular inspections of greenhouses’ electrical junctions and immediately rectify any loose connections,” advised a power supply specialist from State Grid Nanyang during a safety inspection at the shiitake mushroom cultivation base in Chongyang Town, Xixia County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. The utility professional emphasized the importance of proactive hazard prevention to ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.

This period marks the peak production season for spring-cultivated bagged shiitake mushrooms. Each production line in the sterile inoculation facilities is operating in an orderly manner. The Nanyang Power Supply Company of State Grid has organized personnel to conduct targeted inspections of line equipment around the base. The inspections focus on identifying hidden risks, such as tower foundations and conductor galloping. Drones are used to detect and remove tree barriers, while routine maintenance ensures stable line operation.

Staff meticulously inspected each greenhouse for potential equipment hazards. They examined wiring for the ventilation system and climate control circuits. Additionally, they cleared polyethylene sheeting, dust-prevention nets, and other materials that might be blown away by the wind.

“The growth of shiitake mushrooms has high requirements for temperature, humidity, lighting, and more. Electricity is essential for hole-punching, steaming mushroom bags, disinfecting, inoculating, and drying. Since we started production, the power supply has been highly responsive and the service excellent,” said a cooperative staff member.

With a stable power supply, the shiitake mushroom planting scale in Chongyang Town has reached approximately 26 million bags annually. The total output value of the entire industrial chain stands at 860 million yuan, effectively supporting local farmers and boosting village incomes.

Looking ahead, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue monitoring weather changes to ensure safety and reliability for the mushroom industry, especially during sudden weather shifts. From hazard identification to emergency response, power services are injecting stable momentum into rural revitalization.
