State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has implemented multiple measures to guarantee reliable power supply for summer irrigation amid persistent high temperatures and insufficient rainfall.
Teams from the Guanzhang Power Supply Station have been working in Neixiang County’s farmlands, conducting special inspections and maintenance of power lines and equipment. They are also educating farmers on electricity safety to strengthen power supply protection for irrigation.
In response to drought conditions in Neixiang County, the company has launched a comprehensive drought-relief and power-preservation campaign to support agricultural production. This includes increased inspections of 10-kilovolt substations and transmission lines related to agricultural irrigation and drainage. These efforts allow for precise monitoring of equipment operations, ensuring the safe and stable functioning of the power grid during this critical agricultural period.
Service teams are closely coordinating with local townships to assess the real-time power needs for irrigation pumps. A "green channel" has been established for drought-relief electricity applications, streamlining the application and approval processes and simplifying procedures to ensure farmers can quickly and easily access power. Additionally, power supply stations and service centers have stocked up on three-phase meters and optimized their distribution to guarantee their immediate availability for local residents. On-site demonstrations and tutorials are also being provided for those unfamiliar with the card-operated power meters, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free power supply for summer planting and irrigation.
Looking ahead, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to closely monitor weather patterns and leverage its smart grid monitoring system to track grid load in real-time. Proactive power distribution plans will be implemented to fully meet the electricity demands of farmers for irrigation.
