Hangzhou Tonglu Unveils Tiger Roar Gorge Nature Splash World

On June 28, the grand opening of the "Water Kingdom - Ride the Waves in Tonglu" Tiger Roar Gorge Wild Wave Season and Nature Splash World was held in Zhongshan Township, Tonglu County, Hangzhou. The event brought together partners from e-commerce platforms, hotels, B&Bs, travel agencies, as well as internet celebrities, marking the start of a vibrant summer carnival that blends refreshing fun with exhilarating adventure.

The Tiger Roar Gorge Scenic Area features a 10-kilometer granite canyon, a 4.8-kilometer rafting course, a 260-meter vertical drop, and the Tiger Roar Gorge Reservoir with a storage capacity of one million cubic meters, all contributing to a top-tier rafting experience. With forest coverage reaching 99 percent and year-round temperatures averaging 5°C cooler than the urban area, it's truly a "natural summer retreat." In 2024, the scenic area welcomed over 300,000 visitors.

The newly opened Nature Splash World, situated at the entrance of the Tiger Roar Gorge Scenic Area, spans 10,000 square meters and offers two main areas: an adrenaline-pumping challenge area for adults and a fun-filled water play area for children. The adult area focuses on exhilarating thrills, with a low-slope rainbow slide, a high-speed slip and fly slide, and a 22-meter-tall vertical drop slide that simulates a thrilling free-fall experience. Designed with safety and enjoyment in mind, the children's area features a vibrant water castle complete with colorful slides, interactive fountains, and shallow pools.

To enhance the visitor experience, the scenic area will host a "Beer Carnival Night" every evening at 17:00 from June 28 to August 31. The event will include interactive NPC performances, a specialty market highlighting Tonglu delicacies, and an open beer celebration, creating a day-to-night entertainment experience: "rafting by day, carnival by night."
