Recently, in the live-streaming studio of Zhejiang Tuda Hardware Products Co., Ltd., a foreign host enthusiastically introduced fitness equipment to the camera.

In Yongkang, Jinhua, a cluster of hardware enterprises has leveraged the Yongkang-Wuyi-Jinyun hardware industrial belt, tapping both domestic and overseas markets as well as online and offline channels. By identifying the emerging track of cross-border live streaming, they have applied China's mature livestream e-commerce model to overseas markets, built a "24-hour global live-streaming matrix" on platforms such as TikTok, and explored the creation of a global hardware marketing network—promoting the integrated development of the "live streaming + platform + industrial belt" model.

Europe, a major market for hardware products, has particularly stringent requirements on carbon emissions. To help reduce the carbon footprint of hardware products, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has joined forces with the local Development and Reform Commission and leading industrial enterprises. By adopting advanced power technologies such as the "Luban" energy efficiency management platform and waste heat recovery systems, they are helping hardware manufacturers cut energy use and emissions, strengthening the foundation for high-quality development.

“We have installed electronic monitoring instruments at the main energy transmission points of key enterprises to track their energy consumption in real time, build an energy profile for each, and, through the 'Luban' energy efficiency management platform, generate tailored low-carbon, energy-saving strategies. These provide enterprises with practical low-carbon production plans to help reduce the carbon content of their products," said Shi Zhiwei, an employee of State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company.

Zhejiang Feijian Industry and Trade has adopted an air compressor waste heat recovery system, saving 133,500 yuan in electricity costs annually and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 146 tons.

Statistics show that in 2024, the Yongkang hardware industry's online sales exceeded 60 billion yuan, a 150% increase over four years. This surge in sales has brought considerable pressure on production. By ensuring a stable power supply, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has given enterprises both the electricity they need and the confidence to keep production running at full steam.

From the roar of machinery on the workshop floor to the constant flicker of transaction data on e-commerce backends, Yongkang's hardware brands are, with the power of electricity, reshaping the traditional "smile curve." (Text by: Xiang Yuxi)
