State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company: High-Quality Electricity Safeguards the Development of High-End Manufacturing

On October 21, technicians from State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company carried out regular maintenance on a Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) unit in the production workshop of a textile enterprise located in Huai’an Southern Industrial Park. The equipment can respond to voltage fluctuations within 2 milliseconds, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the production line.

In recent years, precision manufacturing industries such as semiconductors and high-end textiles have accelerated their clustering in Huai’an City, leading to higher demands for power supply quality. In response, State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company has implemented a UAV-based inspection system for the industrial park’s power facilities, achieving fully automated inspection of the park’s power grid. The system can complete 40 kilometers of line inspection per day, with a defect identification accuracy rate exceeding 98%, making inspection efficiency eight times higher than manual work.

The company has also upgraded the substation protection devices serving the industrial park, reducing the failure rate caused by external damage by 52% year-on-year. It has further promoted intelligent sectional switch technology, preventing internal faults within enterprises from negatively affecting other users on the same line.

According to statistics, thanks to this series of measures, the number of voltage sags in the park has decreased by 34.7% year-on-year, helping enterprises avoid potential economic losses of over RMB 5 million. These efforts have not only provided a reliable power supply guarantee for the development of high-end manufacturing, but also has established the “Huai’an Model” for power quality management.(By Li Guodong and Du Hang)
