The singles final was contested between two players of Chinese descent, Ann Li and Lulu Sun, with Sun having won both of their previous encounters. From the outset, both players displayed outstanding form, and the first set was fiercely competitive. Eventually, Li converted on her sixth set point to take the opener 7-6(6). In the second set, Li found even greater rhythm, winning 6-2 to seal the victory without dropping a set. This is her first tour-level title in four years.

After lifting the trophy, Ann Li said in Chinese, “Thank you everyone. I’m so happy to win this championship. I love you, Guangzhou!”

The 2025 Guangzhou Open concluded successfully, marking the start of a new journey. In November, Nansha will continue to host the Tennis Mass Group Competition of the 15th National Games, and the Guangzhou Open will remain in Nansha for the next four editions.
