Recently, as temperatures gradually drop and electricity loads continue to rise, State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company has made comprehensive arrangements and directed its city and county branches to conduct targeted inspections of substations under its jurisdiction to ensure stable operation during the cold season.

Based on seasonal power supply characteristics, the Company compiled a maintenance checklist for equipment requiring priority maintenance, formulated differentiated inspection plans, clarified responsibility requirements, and increased the frequency and intensity of equipment inspections. By comprehensively utilizing multidimensional control methods such as remote video monitoring and drone inspections, the Company closely tracked the operational environment of substation equipment. Through infrared detection, live-line testing, and comprehensive on-site inspections, it focused on checking whether the pressure of oil-filled and gas-filled equipment was normal, whether there was abnormal heating at connection points such as wire clamps, jumper wires, and insulator hardware, and whether cable trenches and equipment foundations were intact. By simultaneously employing “monitoring and maintenance” measures, the Company ensured comprehensive hazard identification with no blind spots.

Additionally, State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company dispatched personnel to conduct surprise inspections at substations to verify the quality of key equipment inspections and the implementation of anti-freezing measures. The Company actively coordinated construction and equipment resources to address potential hazards such as equipment icing, oil levels in oil-filled equipment, hydraulic mechanism pressure, and heating devices in terminal boxes and control cabinets. These efforts enabled the Company to fulfill its operational and maintenance responsibilities while ensuring the safe operation of substation facilities, meeting higher standards for winter peak preparedness.

In the next phase, State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company will continue to closely monitor weather changes and the impact of strong winds and other adverse conditions, strengthen special inspections of key equipment, further consolidate the foundation of safety management, and fully ensure the secure and stable operation of the power grid during the winter peak period.
