In their congratulatory letters, Liang Yanshun and Wang Qingxian noted that the current new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is accelerating, and strategic emerging industries represented by new materials are flourishing. Anhui will thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Anhui. Following the direction of intelligent, green, and integrated development, the province will advance technological breakthrough efforts, industrial upgrading, and ecosystem cultivation for new materials in a coordinated manner. Anhui will promote the clustered development of the new materials industry, build a modern industrial system, cultivate and expand new quality productive forces, and accelerate the creation of the “Three Areas and One Hub” with significant national influence. They expressed hope that domestic and international participants will take this conference as an opportunity to further invest in Anhui, deepen their presence in the province, and introduce more cutting-edge technologies, high-quality projects, and outstanding talent, sharing development opportunities and jointly shaping the future of the industry.
In his speech, Li Zhong stated that Anhui will enhance its innovation origination capacity by intensifying efforts in cutting-edge research, integrating superior resources, implementing scientific and technological innovation projects, and strengthening the primary role of enterprises in innovation. The province will forge strong industrial capabilities by accelerating the strengthening of industrial chains and clusters, promoting the quality improvement and expansion of advanced basic materials, the introduction and optimization of key strategic materials, and the forward-looking planning and deployment of future materials. He added that Anhui will also build strong momentum for integrated development through expanding opening-up and cooperation, continuously hosting the International New Materials Industry Conference to pool global wisdom, talent, capital, and application resources, thereby promoting the commercialization of innovative achievements in Anhui.
