The 6th Hunan Provincial High School Sports Games Kick Off in Shaoyang

In late autumn and early winter, the Shaoyang Sports Center gymnasium buzzed with youthful energy. As sports teams entered one by one and representatives of participants and referees took their oaths on stage, the 6th Hunan Provincial High School Sports Games officially commenced in the gymnasium.

The opening ceremony showcased the short film Spirit of Youth, the dance Youth, and the youth declaration Young Hunan Voice. On the night of the opening ceremony, "Youth" stood out as the central theme of the cultural and sports performances. Under the theme, "Youth Within Me: Pursuing Dreams for the Future", the performances radiated youthful energy and highlighted the vitality of Hunan students.
As the largest, highest-level, and most competitive comprehensive sports event for high school students in the province, the Hunan Provincial High School Sports Games has been held biennially since 2015. The Games aim to foster the all-round development of young people and cultivate talent for future athletic competitions.
To make this Provincial Games a success, Shaoyang embraced the principle of hosting events that are "simple, safe, and spectacular". The city established and optimized an operational framework that prioritizes competitions, centers on participants, is venue-oriented, and enjoys strong support from the local government.
