Shaanxi's annual power transmission reached 100.07 billion kWh as of midnight on November 29, exceeding a milestone of 100 billion kWh for the first time, with a year-on-year increase of 21%. This achievement reflects substantial progress in transforming Shaanxi's energy resource advantages, strengthening China's energy security and driving coordinated regional development.

±500 kV Debao DC Electric Power Transmission Project

In its active efforts to develop power markets beyond the province and ensure reliable power transmission, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power has strengthened communication and coordination with other provinces. By maximizing the use of existing transmission channels such as Shanwu (Northern Shaanxi-Wuhan) DC, Debao (Deyang-Baoji) DC, and Lingbao DC Electric Power Transmission Projects to strengthen traditional electric power transmission and leveraging newly operational ultra-high voltage (UHV) DC lines like the Qingyang-Shandong line, the Company is expanding its presence in power markets outside Shaanxi.

This year, State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power has focused on areas with high demand for green electricity. The Company leverages transmission channel capacity to maximize green power delivery per kilowatt-hour. To date, it has facilitated the transmission of 450 million kWh of green electricity from Shaanxi, actively driving the power transmission market forward by highlighting the environmental benefits of green electricity.
Currently, Shaanxi has completed and operated five power transmission and transformation projects, including the ±800 kV UHV DC line from northern Shaanxi to Hubei and the 1,000 kV UHV AC line from Yuheng in Yulin to Weifang in Shandong. Together, these projects create five inter-provincial transmission corridors, forming the backbone of Shaanxi's power transmission network.
