On November 23, the Shangluo Tianzhu 330-kilovolt (kV) substation was put into operation under load, marking a significant milestone in the power supply project for the Xi’an–Ankang and Xi’an–Shiyan high-speed railways. The project completed multiple high-risk aerial crossings, while ensuring both the uninterrupted flow of highway traffic below and the safety of live power lines above—making it a true “tough nut to crack” in power infrastructure construction. The project also implemented green, environmentally friendly construction practices, strictly adhering to ecological protection requirements and achieving a win-win outcome for development and environmental conservation.
To ensure safe and efficient construction, State Grid Shangluo Power Supply Company organized participating units to conduct multiple on-site surveys, evaluate technical conditions, formulate specialized construction plans, and adopt the “half-span net enclosure” method. Through close coordination with traffic management authorities, construction work was scheduled scientifically. During the construction process, safety, technical, and organizational measures were strictly enforced, including verifying the qualifications of personnel, machinery, and equipment before site entry and strengthening on-site control. Despite challenges such as thunderstorms and heavy traffic, full-process supervision was implemented throughout to ensure the successful completion of operations.
Once completed, the project will significantly improve the 330 kV grid structure in the Shangluo region, enhance regional energy development capacity, and ensure reliable power supply, injecting strong momentum into energy security and economic development in southern Shaanxi.
