On January 14, staff from the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company conducted winter power safety inspections at enterprises in Tuandong Town, Neixiang County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. This effort aims to enhance the reliability of power supply for businesses during the high-demand winter period through tailored services.
As temperatures continue to drop this winter, power loads at enterprises within the industrial park have been rising steadily. To ensure a stable power supply, the Company recently organized staff to inspect key areas such as production workshops and distribution rooms, focusing on winter-prone hazards including aging lines, overheating connectors, and equipment overload. Equipment hazard records were established, and on-site guidance was provided to help enterprises carry out rectifications. Staff also distributed safety pamphlets and addressed enterprises’ concerns face to face regarding capacity expansion procedures, application of time-of-use tariffs, and energy-saving upgrades.
Meanwhile, the Company adopted a coordinated approach combining manual inspections and drone patrols. Maintenance personnel carried out infrared inspections and drone checks on 10-kilovolt lines and equipment surrounding enterprises, with emphasis on monitoring critical components such as line connectors and transformers. This ensured potential hazards were identified and addressed at an early stage. In addition, the Company strictly implemented a 24-hour emergency repair mechanism, with sufficient spare parts and emergency power generation vehicles in place. Professional repair teams were arranged to remain on duty in shifts to ensure prompt handling of unexpected power failures.
To date, the Company has visited 23 enterprises in the Neixiang County industrial park. Moving forward, it will closely monitor weather changes and fluctuations in power demand, further increase inspection frequency, and advance closed-loop management of hazard rectification, providing reliable power services to support stable production and improved efficiency for park enterprises during the winter.
