The festival officially kicked off in the morning with a traditional "dressing" ceremony. At noon, the "Flower Tree Welcoming" procession set off from the old village. Villagers young and old escorted the auspicious flower tree, parading all the way to Tiaohua Square. The lively "door-blocking wine" ceremony brought the atmosphere to a climax, as young women in festive attire held cups of rice wine and welcomed guests from afar with melodious songs.
This Tiaohua Festival represents not only a steadfast commitment to preserving and passing down traditional folk culture, but also a heartfelt celebration of the Miao people's happy lives today and their hopes for an even brighter future.
