On March 5, the 2026 "Spring in Tonglu: Joy Awaits" Tourism Promotion Event for Tour Operators Nationwide was held in Tonglu.

Highlighting signature tourism brands like "Spring in Tonglu", "Water Kingdom", and "Premier City for River Delicacies", the event fully showcased Tonglu's diverse, immersive, and high-quality tourism offerings through nine themed travel experiences including "Cultural Immersion Tours", "Scenic Landscape Tours", "Sports & Leisure Tours", "Family Vacation Tours", and "Rural Tourism".


Alongside the main event, curated markets themed around "Tonglu Tourism" and "Tonglu Flavors" were also held, featuring distinctive souvenirs and locally inspired cultural and creative products. This allowed guests to experience Tonglu's natural beauty and cultural charm up close.


To further expand its tourist markets nationwide, Tonglu also released its 2026 cooperation policies for travel trade partners at the event. These include incentives linked to visitor numbers at state-owned scenic areas, partnership packages for OMG Heartbeat Park, group discounts for Tianzidi, Shengxianli, Qinxi Xianggu scenic areas, as well as special offers for group tours to Tonglu Equestrian Park and Valley of M&W.


On the same day, the Tonglu County Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau, Tonglu County Culture and Tourism Group, and Zhejiang China Travel Service Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the three parties will deepen cooperation in resource sharing, brand promotion, and visitor attraction. A launch ceremony for cooperation between Tonglu tourism and tour operators from across the country was also held, marking a new stage of collaboration between Tonglu's cultural tourism sector and the broader tourism industry nationwide.
In 2025, Tonglu's cultural tourism sector achieved solid progress and fruitful results. The county ranked eighth among China's top 100 counties for comprehensive tourism strength and recorded 13.286 million visitor trips. During major holidays such as the May Day, summer vacation, and National Day, Tonglu repeatedly ranked among the country's top 10 most popular county-level tourism destinations, demonstrating strong market appeal and brand influence. Moving forward, Tonglu will continue optimizing its tourism offerings, enhancing service quality, and deepening regional cooperation to build itself into a leading leisure and vacation destination in the Yangtze River Delta and a first-class tourism destination nationwide. It will collaborate with tour operators across the country to create more premium travel routes.
