To ensure the safety and stability of power supply for spring farming after the 2026 Spring Festival, the State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company recently launched a special inspection of agricultural irrigation lines and equipment. The Company dispatched technicians to the fields of Matou Community for a comprehensive check of all power facilities serving local farms, ensuring the reliability of spring irrigation power supply.
The State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company planned ahead and formulated a detailed inspection scheme. Staff focused on key components of agricultural irrigation power lines, such as pole foundations, wire insulation, and guy-wire tension, while also testing and recording the operational status of transformers, distribution boxes, and leakage protectors used for irrigation. In light of potential hazards from cold temperatures and high winds, inspectors examined each piece of equipment carefully.
"Many farmers returned home for the holiday and want to check irrigation gear that sat idle during winter, so it's ready when spring comes. But equipment unused for long periods can develop safety problems. Our early inspections help ensure crops get the water they need," said Shen Yuqi, head of the No. 6 Distribution and Operation Team. Special attention was given to long-idle equipment, with issues such as aging wires or damaged meter boxes being recorded and promptly scheduled for repair. The Company also distributed instructional materials on electrical safety to farmers and explained safe operating procedures for irrigation equipment, raising awareness among rural users.
Going forward, the State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company will continue to build dynamic management records for agricultural power equipment, enabling regular monitoring and maintenance and providing reliable electricity support for spring farming.
