Recently, the 51st Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions concluded in Geneva, Switzerland. The "high-adaptability diversified clean energy battery-integrated DC power supply system," developed by the Huangnan Model Worker Innovation Studio of State Grid Yichang Power Supply Company in collaboration with Yichang Yangtze Three Gorges Shore Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen DBK Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd., stood out among more than 1,000 inventions from over 40 countries and regions and won the silver award. This marks the second consecutive year that China's power-sector innovations have received honors at this top international invention exhibition.

This innovation addresses key issues in traditional valve-regulated lead-acid battery DC power supply systems used in substations, including insufficient capacity, low reliability, and poor environmental performance. Through technological innovation, the team developed an integrated DC power supply system with four major advantages: strong adaptability, high reliability, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. The system can be widely used in 10 kV switching stations, 1000 kV substations, converter stations, booster stations, including coal-fired power, hydropower, new energy power generation, rail transit, and large industrial facilities.

This award marks another appearance on the international stage for the Huangnan Model Worker Innovation Studio of State Grid Yichang Power Supply Company, following its bronze award at the same exhibition in 2025 for the "two-charge four-feed DC system and uninterrupted power modification method," again demonstrating its strong innovation capacity. Next, the project team will continue to advance the research and development of green power technology, accelerate the commercialization and application of its achievements, and support the green and low-carbon upgrade of power systems, contributing more Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the global energy transition.
