The 500kV Baolan Line is one of the key transmission channels for importing external power into Jiangsu Province. To maintain its safe and stable operation, State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company mobilized crews on March 16 to launch comprehensive maintenance on the 43-kilometer line under its jurisdiction. During the pre-maintenance stage, operation and maintenance staff conducted comprehensive aerial surveys using drones, and used high-precision imaging equipment to identify line defects, pinpointing defect locations to guide on-site operations. This maintenance focused on tower climbing inspections, line-walking inspections, suspension clamp opening inspections, bolt tightening, vibration damper resetting, and cotter pin supplementation, with the aim of fully identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards along the line.
