Nanyang, Henan: Reliable Power Services Support Thriving Button Mushroom Industry

On April 1, staff from the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company visited the Hezhong Situo Edible Fungus Cultivation Base in Houhu Village, Shuanglong Town, Xixia County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, inspecting power equipment to ensure a safe and reliable power supply for mushroom cultivation.
The button mushroom cultivation base in Houhu Village has 33 greenhouse units. By precisely controlling key conditions such as temperature, humidity, and ventilation, the base maintains a constant-temperature environment year-round, enabling stable cultivation of button mushrooms in all seasons.
To ensure worry-free power supply for button mushroom cultivation, staff from the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company regularly inspect distribution boxes, power lines, backup power sources, and high-power equipment such as fans and water pumps at the base, promptly eliminating potential hazards. They also explain safe electricity use to growers, distribute service contact cards, and ensure a rapid response in the event of any power failure.
"Reliable power supports the cultivation of button mushrooms. After they mature, the mushrooms are processed into various canned products and exported overseas. Button mushrooms have become a key industry driving local income growth," said Zhu Chengtao, head of the base.
Going forward, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will optimize and upgrade the power grid in line with the industry's development plans, guide and assist growers with various power-related services, and provide reliable power support for the continued development of the button mushroom industry.
