Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang Hosts Opening Ceremony of 33rd “Colorful Weekend” Cultural Activities and Summer “Village Gala” Main Event

Recently, the opening ceremony of the 33rd “Colorful Weekend” Cultural Activities and the main event of Yuhua District’s 2026 Summer “Village Gala” were held at Dingxiang Garden in Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang.

The event featured a lively atmosphere and a wide variety of wonderful performances. The opening dance “Bright Prospects” was energetic and uplifting. Traditional operas, including Hebei Bangzi and Sixian Opera, were staged in succession, with melodious classic arias showcasing the rich opera traditions of the Yanzhao region. Elegant Dai ethnic dances and Beijing-style dances displayed the unique charm of traditional arts. The exquisite Sichuan Opera face-changing performance, an item of intangible cultural heritage, allowed residents to experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage up close. Fashion shows, instrumental music performances, choruses and other distinctive programs were presented one after another. Many local art lovers took to the stage, vividly demonstrating the positive spirit of residents in the district and their passion for life.

This year’s “Colorful Weekend” series of cultural activities will continue until the end of October.
