Nanyang, Henan: Reliable Power Supply Helps Secure Summer Grain Harvest

The summer harvest is in full swing, as waves of wheat sway in the breeze. On June 2, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company organized staff members to visit grain-drying stations across Nanyang’s counties and districts to provide dedicated power supply support, helping ensure the summer grain harvest is safely gathered and stored.
As wheat harvesting and time-sensitive grain drying have entered a crucial stage, drying equipment is operating at full capacity, driving up electricity demand. In response, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company made early arrangements and fully launched dedicated power supply support for “Three Summer” grain drying work.

By proactively coordinating with local agricultural authorities, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has gained a precise understanding of wheat harvest progress, the distribution of grain-drying sites and electricity demand, and has formulated targeted power supply support plans accordingly.
Under a dedicated-service mechanism for each station, the company has carried out full-coverage safety inspections at all grain-drying centers, focusing on key facilities such as distribution transformers and drying control cabinets. Hidden-danger logs have been established to strengthen power safety at the source.
The company has also opened a 24/7 green channel for “Three Summer” power services, streamlining procedures for electricity service applications, capacity expansion and maintenance for grain-drying operators. It provides one-stop on-site services, including field surveys, rapid power connection and fault repair. Meanwhile, a 24-hour emergency duty system has been put in place, with repair crews on standby around the clock to ensure rapid response, handling and power restoration in emergencies.
To date, grain-drying facilities across Nanyang have been operating steadily, supported by reliable power supply. Going forward, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to focus on key links in the “Three Summer” period, address the core electricity needs of grain drying, further optimize service measures and improve power supply reliability.
