Global Cross-border Trade Industry Cluster Ecosystem Conference Held in Nansha, Guangzhou

The Global Cross-border Trade Industry Cluster Ecosystem Conference, themed "Trade Meets Nansha, Connecting the World" was held on July 30 at the Guangzhou Nansha International Convention and Exhibition Center. Industry leaders including Google, Midea, Guangzhou Port, and HSBC shared their insights, while over 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, and trade specialists gathered for on-site exchanges.

At the conference, the construction of the Global Cross-border Trade Industry Cluster was officially launched. The cluster’s supporting ecosystem service platform and the Guangdong Token Trading and Service Center were jointly inaugurated, and a series of strategic cooperation projects were signed.

The Nansha Global Cross-border Trade Industry Cluster, operated by the Nansha Kaijian Group, occupies 83,000 square meters of industrial space. Powered by blockchain and artificial intelligence, it integrates services across the entire supply chain and coordinates the development of sea ports, air ports, data ports, financial ports, and talent ports. Companies settling in the cluster can enjoy “plug-and-play” services, with complex customs, tax, and financial matters handled through a unified platform, allowing businesses to focus on product development and market expansion.

Three major state-owned foreign trade entities under the cluster’s ecosystem platform were unveiled at the conference: Guangzhou Tunan Trade Development Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Nansha Kaijian Foreign Trade Comprehensive Service Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Nansha Kaijian Dongling Trade Development Co., Ltd. They will specialize in supply chain integration, comprehensive foreign trade services, and bulk commodity trade respectively, providing frontline operational support and end-to-end services for the cluster.

At the conference, Zhongke Huizhi signed agreements with payment institutions including Lakala and Nium to further streamline cross-border payment channels.

Multiple industrial cooperation agreements were reached at the conference. Nansha Kaijian Foreign Trade Company signed agreements with six associations, including the Macao Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Hong Kong Federation of Industry and Commerce, to build a market service network spanning from the Greater Bay Area to the Belt and Road region. GAC Import and Export Co., Ltd. also signed an agreement with Hangzhou Dafengche Technology to promote the upgrading of the entire automobile export chain.

Data and AI are reshaping the underlying logic of cross-border trade. Nansha has been advancing its international data port construction, hosting the only IPv6 root server in South China, possessing a computing power pool exceeding 10,000 P, and establishing Guangzhou’s first comprehensive data outbound service center. In May this year, the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone issued negative lists for data outbound in the sectors of intelligent equipment manufacturing and personal credit reporting. Nansha formulated supporting implementation guidelines and completed the first transaction in early July.

From customs efficiency to financial trust, from compliance services to data intelligence, Nansha's cross-border trade ecosystem is evolving from a physical hub into a rules-based hub.
