How amazing is the power-generating highway?

In Shandong, China, there's a highway that doesn't just move traffic. It generates power. Solar panels cover the slopes of the Zaohe Highway and the rooftops of its service areas, producing about 100 million kWh of electricity a year. That saves 30,000 tons of standard coal, cuts CO2 emissions by 80,000 tons, and is equivalent to planting over 5 million trees.
