Power Supports Minqin Melon Exports and the International Expansion of Rural Industries

Recently, premium Minqin melons were shipped to Almaty, Kazakhstan, via a dedicated road-air intermodal cold-chain route, making the journey from the desert sands to Central Asian dining tables. This marks the official transition of Minqin's specialty agricultural products from domestic to global markets. State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company provided end-to-end power support for melon cultivation, warehousing, and cold-chain shipping. Through targeted, reliable power services, it is helping Gansu products go global and local specialty industries expand internationally.

To support the high-quality global expansion of the melon industry, State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company planned ahead and took proactive steps, launching dedicated power supply assurance efforts to meet electricity needs across the entire supply chain. Staff members visited melon farms and e-commerce logistics parks to conduct comprehensive electrical inspections of smart irrigation equipment, automated sorting machinery, constant-temperature cold storage, power lines, and distribution boxes and cabinets. They meticulously checked for hazards such as aging wiring, equipment faults, and non-compliant electricity use, and rectified problems on-site, ensuring a safe, stable power supply for large-scale melon cultivation, standardized processing, and warehousing for export.

State Grid Wuwei Power Supply Company will continue to optimize its agriculture-related power supply assurance system, meet the specific electricity needs at each stage of the cultivation, further processing, and export of specialty agricultural products, and continuously upgrade its power services. By providing high-quality, reliable power support, it aims to help more of Gansu's "Ganwei" products go global, strengthen local specialty industries that enrich the people, expand opportunities for local residents to increase their incomes, and inject lasting momentum into the high-quality development and comprehensive revitalization of rural industries.
