During the special keynote session, Zhou Jianshe, Director of the China Language Intelligence Research Center under the National Language Commission; Fan Sizheng, Deputy Director of the National Security Computing Laboratory at the University of International Business and Economics; and Zhang Yongwei, Researcher at the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, shared cutting-edge advances in language intelligence in three areas: national corpus strategy, AI laboratory development, and the construction of digital and intelligent platforms for ancient ethnic scripts.
In the thematic academic presentation session, experts and scholars discussed key areas such as intelligent development of the Mongolian language, low-resource language development, document digitization, and the application of AI in social science research. Bai Shuangcheng, Has, Du Ren, Tong Hongjiang, Yang Zhiqiang and Sun Jie gave presentations on intelligent Mongolian-language products, semantic networks for low-resource languages, digitization of Mongolian-language documents, market promotion of Mongolian-language products, AI-driven cross-domain information processing, and lightweight agents to support social science research, respectively. Their presentations combined theoretical insights with practical experience, providing support for laboratory development and industry-academia-research collaboration.
The symposium brought together universities, research institutions and enterprises to establish a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing in ethnic language intelligence research. This initiative will help advance the digitalization and intelligent development of ethnic languages in the autonomous region.
