Henan Jiyuan: Sufficient Power Boosts the Thriving Rabbit Industry

Staff from the power supply company conduct an on-site service visit

Recently, inside the breeding base of Sunshine Rabbit Industry Technology Co., Ltd. in Jiyuan City, Henan Province, staff from State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company meticulously inspected the power distribution facilities and guided the customer on safety precautions, ensuring safe and reliable power supply.

“With reliable power supply and proper temperature and humidity control, the rabbits grow strong and healthy. We have sufficient electricity for processing, storage and freezing. In the first half of this year alone, our exports of chilled rabbit meat reached 5.44 million yuan, doubling year on year, with European markets accounting for 90 percent,” said Wang Jinhua, head of the enterprise.

At present, the company has developed into a meat rabbit enterprise with an integrated industrial chain. Its business covers breeding improved rabbit varieties, production and sales of commercial rabbits, feed production, food processing and export, organic fertilizer production and biological research.

Rabbit farming places high demands on temperature, humidity and ventilation, and relies heavily on electricity. Every stage of meat rabbit processing also requires reliable power support. In recent years, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has established a professional service team that conducts regular on-site inspections at the enterprise, promptly resolving problems such as equipment operation and maintenance, potential safety hazards, and technical upgrades to power facilities. It has also implemented a designated service mechanism for the 30 villages where rabbit farming is promoted by the enterprise, ensuring a reliable power supply.

As the production scale continues to expand, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has promptly arranged for power capacity upgrades for the enterprise and optimized its power consumption plans. The company has also provided end-to-end services for connecting the newly built standardized workshops to the power grid.

Going forward, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company will continue to optimize its mechanisms, refine its measures and improve its power supply services to support the development of Sunshine Rabbit Industry Technology Company. (Text and photo by Li Jianguo)
