On October 29, a media delegation taking part in the “Land and Sea Routes Connect the World · River-Sea Connectivity Opens a New Chapter — 2026 Guangxi Tour of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor” event visited Guangxi Baise No. 1 Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. (Baise No. 1 Company).

The company’s core business is operating the Baise No. 1 dedicated freight train service. By building a cold-chain distribution system for agricultural products that originates in Baise, is rooted in Guangxi, extends nationwide and connects with ASEAN markets, it has successfully integrated its operations into the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

The Baise No. 1 dedicated freight train service is a key two-way north–south cold-chain transport link along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. It plays an important role in transporting vegetables from southern to northern China and supporting the import and distribution of agricultural products from ASEAN countries.

As of October 21, 2026, the Baise No. 1 green freight train service for fruit and vegetables had made a total of 2,907 trips since its launch in 2013, including 1,458 cross-border trips, facilitating the movement of 933,000 metric tons of agricultural products at home and abroad.

Its domestic routes cover key regions including Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei, Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao and Chengdu–Chongqing. Its cross-border routes connect ASEAN countries such as Vietnam and Laos and link up with China–Central Asia and China–Europe freight train services, forming a cold-chain logistics network connecting domestic and international markets.

In December 2025, the Baise No. 1 dedicated railway line was completed and put into operation. It has improved road-rail connections, effectively reduced overall logistics costs for local enterprises, and strengthened the foundation for cold-chain collection and distribution along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

At present, Baise No. 1 Company is accelerating the construction of projects including the cold-chain logistics base in the border pilot zone and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (Baise) International Cold-Chain Logistics Hub. Relying on the Baise No. 1 dedicated railway line and its digitally managed commodity delivery warehouse, the company is building an agricultural product collection, distribution and trading hub serving ASEAN markets.
