On October 29, a media delegation participating in the 2026 Guangxi Tour of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor visited Rongrong New Materials Technology (Guangxi) Co., Ltd.
The company is developing the Baise Alumina Continuous Fiber Products Project with a total investment of 10.7 billion yuan. The project is planned to include 150 production lines for alumina fiber products, with a combined annual capacity of 12,500 metric tons.
The project is being developed in two phases and is expected to generate 11.5 billion yuan in annual output once fully operational. When completed, it will become one of the world’s largest alumina fiber product plants and fill a gap in the high-end non-metallurgical-grade alumina sector in Baise and Guangxi.

“We chose to establish operations in Baise mainly because of its aluminum resources, industrial base, policy support and government services, as well as its location along the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. Together, these create synergy between R&D in Shanghai and manufacturing in Baise,” said Xu Jianqiang, general manager of Rongrong New Materials Technology (Guangxi) Co., Ltd. “Once the Pinglu Canal opens to navigation, Baise will gain direct river access to the sea, significantly improving our logistics network. River-sea and rail-sea intermodal transport can lower overall costs for raw material procurement and strengthen supply chain stability. For domestic sales, this can shorten transport times and expand market coverage in Southwest China and other regions; for exports, the corridor will provide more convenient access to ASEAN and global markets.”
“Rongrong New Materials will make every effort to bring Phase II into full production and realize its full benefits, continue to step up product R&D, leverage the multimodal transport network to expand its reach in the domestic market, and further develop its sales network serving ASEAN and global markets,” Xu said.
Leveraging the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the company is expanding westward into the broader Southwest China market and southward into ASEAN through ports on the Beibu Gulf. It aims to develop its Baise production base into a high-end alumina fiber supply hub serving Southwest China and ASEAN.
