The 110-kV transmission project supporting the Huai’an Xiehe 120-MW photovoltaic project is now entering the final stage of construction.

Construction crews work on the supporting transmission project

Located in Dailou Subdistrict, Jinhu County, Huai’an, Jiangsu Province, the Huai’an Xiehe 120-MW photovoltaic project is a key local investment project in the renewable energy sector. Making use of idle fishponds in the area, the project includes photovoltaic arrays covering approximately 2,555 mu (about 170 hectares), combining solar power generation above the water with aquaculture below. This integrated approach enables the dual use of the same water area for clean energy production and aquaculture.

The supporting 110-kV transmission project is being constructed by State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company. The transmission line spans 8.52 kilometers and uses double-circuit towers, with conductors strung on only one side. The project involves the construction of 34 new transmission towers.

Since construction began, State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company has coordinated resources from all parties involved and worked to address challenges in securing transmission line corridors. The company has also accelerated construction across its annual project portfolio to ensure that the supporting transmission infrastructure is commissioned on schedule, facilitating the efficient transmission of green electricity out of the region.
