On October 27, the media delegation of the 2026 New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Guangxi Tour visited the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. As the flagship cooperation platform between the Chinese and Malaysian governments and a core node at the sea outlet of the Pinglu Canal, the park is capitalizing on the dual strategic opportunities of the upgraded Two Countries, Twin Parks initiative and the opening of the Pinglu Canal to navigation, delivering new progress in cross-border industrial chain development, two-way investment collaboration, and port-side industrial cluster growth.

In 2025, the governments of China and Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Upgraded Cooperation for the Two Countries, Twin Parks initiative, defining clear directions for cooperation. The park has developed three key task lists, which are being implemented on an annual basis. Since the start of this year, the park has officially launched the Kuala Lumpur Center for AI Application Cooperation, the China-Malaysia Cross-Border Investment and Trade Two-Way Service Platform website, and the China-ASEAN (Green Palm Industry) AI Innovation Cooperation Platform. It has also hosted events such as the Two Countries, Twin Parks Marine-oriented Economy Industrial Cooperation Matchmaking Conference, and initiated the establishment of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Industrial Park Alliance, with a batch of new projects formally signed and launched. The park is also working in close coordination with the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park to advance cross-border cooperation projects including the China-Malaysia Two Countries, Twin Parks Cross-Border Data Center and the China-Malaysia Agricultural Products Distribution Center.
Against the backdrop of the Pinglu Canal's opening to navigation and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor accelerating toward a new river-rail-sea multimodal transport model, the park is focused on translating corridor connectivity advantages into tangible industrial and opening-up advantages. It has developed southwestern China's first 100-billion-yuan specialized chemical industrial park, which ranks 15th among China's chemical industrial parks. Leveraging leading enterprises in the industrial chain including PetroChina, Shanghai Huayi, Zhejiang Hengyi and Zhejiang Tongkun, the park is scaling up its high-value green chemical sector. Supported by leading players such as CNGR, GEM and Albemarle, it is expanding its new energy materials industry, while partnering with CSSC Guangxi and Envision to upgrade its high-end equipment manufacturing capacity, driving the industrial clusters to evolve from agglomeration to greater strength and competitiveness. In the first three quarters of 2026, the park's total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 123.56 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 30.8%.
