Renovate environment of Xi Che to make it a beautiful village

Walking around the Xi Che village in Baqiao District of Xi’an City is a pleasant journey traversing through fruit trees, hedges and modern houses with white walls and black tiles. The beautiful pastoral scenery is a feast to your eyes.

In recent years the Xi Che village has been pushing forward special rectification on rural garbage, waste water and rural toilet with the aim of comprehensively improving the living environment and making the village more and more beautiful.

It is quite common to see walls with decoration of pictures and words which illustrate the Confucian doctrine of filial piety at the Xi Che village. Paintings which tell new 24 stories of filial piety teach villagers how to behave in a dutiful manner. For example, there are paintings on the wall about accompanying parents for travelling and doing physical exercises. 

In recent years the Baqiao District has been pushing forward special rectification on renovation of the environment, waste water treatment, facade reconstruction, ecological improvement and toilet reconstruction. Such efforts have paid off because villages of the Baqiao District have acquired a new outlook and they are the first ones to be honored as the Most Beautiful Villages in Xi’an City. In addition the living standard of villagers in Baqiao District has been promoted substantially. Rural per capita net income has surpassed 20 thousand yuan.

In 2018 Baqiao District will continue its endeavor to promote rural vitalization by constructing eight models of beautiful villages, completing projects of waste water treatment in 20 villages and building an idyllic complex.
