The first leg of trip will be hosted by Shaanxi’s provincial capital Xi’an and Yulin in the north end of the province. The foreign experts’ packed itinerary will include visits to museums, cultural relics, historic sites and the Beilin museum for steles and stone sculptures in order to offer them a first-hand experience of the profound cultural essence and historical roots of Shaanxi Province over thousands of years. Apart from a look back into history, they will also get a glimpse into the future through a tour of the latest developments in modern technology at the Xi’an High-Tech Industries Development Zone. In Yulin City, foreign experts will learn about the industrial upgrading and transformation of energy, culture and other industries in Shaanxi Province.
The trip, which lasts about six days, will serve as an experiential platform for foreign guests to learn about the rapid growth and profound changes in Shaanxi since it implemented the reform and opening-up policy 40 years ago. The trip also provides a window into the remarkable achievements of China’s Belt and Road initiative proposed five years ago. (Kevin)
