Daka China 2022: Events in Jiangsu Officially Launched in Huai'an

"Daka China 2022 - Exploring Magnificent Landmarks in Jiangsu" and "Experiencing Culture Along Huaiyang Canal" Online International Communication Events officially kicked off in Huai'an, East China's Jiangsu Province, on August 3.

The events are organized by CRI Online of China Media Group and Cyberspace Administration of Jiangsu Province, and hosted by Cyberspace Administration of Huai'an Municipality and Huai'an Broadcast-Television Station.

"Daka China 2022 - Exploring Magnificent Landmarks in Jiangsu" and "Experiencing Culture Along Huaiyang Canal" Online International Communication Events officially kick off.

Foreign Internet influencers from Georgia, Guatemala, Pakistan, Egypt, Venezuela, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Tunisia attended the Launch Ceremony of the Events.

"Daka China 2022 - Exploring Magnificent Landmarks" Online International Communication Event series is organized by CRI Online of China Media Group and Cyberspace Administrations of Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Henan, Jiangsu, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Anhui and Shandong. Centered on the five themes of "Yangtze River culture", "Yellow River culture", "Grand Canal culture", "ice and snow culture" and "ethnic culture", a number of cultural landmarks with local uniqueness and distinctive Chinese characteristics across the country have been selected for foreign Internet influencers to visit. Through the perspectives of these Internet influencers, the splendid Chinese culture with its own features is expected to be presented to the world, to enhance people-to-people exchanges and promote mutual learning among civilizations.

"Daka China 2022 - Exploring Magnificent Landmarks" Online International Communication Event series was launched in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on July 25. Huai'an where the Events were launched on August 3 is the second stop of the series.

Themed "Experiencing Culture Along Huaiyang Canal", the events are expected to further introduce fine traditional Chinese culture with Jiangsu characteristics to the world, spread the in-depth stories of Huai'an, a city that was born and nourished on the banks of the Grand Canal, and endow the Grand Canal with new epochal significance.

The Launch Ceremony for the Events

The Launch Ceremony for the Events was held at Huai'an Water Interchange Junction, which was built at the intersection of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the seaward waterway of Huai River. Huai'an Water Interchange Junction, the biggest of its kind in Asia, provides separate waterways for the vehicles bound for the sea and sailing on Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

The foreign Internet influencers will visit Huai'an Water Interchange Junction, Li Canal Cultural Corridor, China Water Transport Museum, Hongze Lake Embankment, Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall, Hexia Ancient Town, Xiyou World of Adventure, China Huaiyang Cuisine Cultural Museum, Xuyi County and more for the rest of the trip, to experience the culture of Huai'an, which is not only a prosperous city nourished by canals, a renowned city praised for its well-preserved cultural heritage, but also a beautiful, livable and happy city for its residents.
