On September 29th, the opening ceremony of the 2022 ITTF World Table Tennis Team Championships (finals) was held at the Chengdu High-tech Sports Center.
The opening ceremony follows the principles of simplicity, safety, splendor and professionalism, and carries out creative design around international standards, Chinese styles, and Bashu characteristics, showing Chinese characteristics in the new era and the development achievements and good image of the west. It not only maintains the sense of ceremony and participation of the opening ceremony, but also highlights the strong cultural characteristics of the host city.
On the basis of completely retaining the facilities and layout of the competition venue, the opening ceremony will combine the competition venue and the opening ceremony venue into one. The 560 luminous LED light balls that symbolize the 56th World Table Tennis Championships are used to light up the sky of the opening ceremony.And with the on-site procedures, ceremonies and performances, the earth, the World Table Tennis Championships logo,the trophy, panda, 2022 Chengdu and other patterns and words are interpreted through changes in colors and arrays, making table tennis the most eye-catching protagonist at the opening ceremony. In the next 10 days, top athletes from all over the world will compete in Chengdu.
